SUNNYVALE, Calif. — It was a typical day at the office for Azalea Groleau and Roman Radecki at the 2025 Bronco Invitational.
Groleau yet again led the way for the Seattle U women’s cross country team, finishing sixth in the 6k race among a field of over 150 runners to add to her never-ending rolodex of top-10 finishes. Groleau’s time of 20:53 was just shy of her 20:44 finish at last year’s Bronco Invitational, and short of her own all-time record of 20:28, set in 2024.
In the men’s 8k, Radecki showed no signs of letting up after a banner start to the season. The freshman was yet again the first Redhawk to cross the finish line with a time of 25:02 – just five seconds away from his personal best, which he set at the Charles Bowles Invitational on Oct. 4 for the 12th-best time in Seattle U history.
Behind Radecki, Seku Sanders was the Redhawks’ next finisher with a time of 25:45, one meet after setting his personal best at the Charles Bowles Invitational. A freshman tandem of Casey Miller and Alexzander Osorio were up next with a time of 26:21.
In terms of freshmen standouts, Mira Danish recorded a time of 22:30 – improving by over a minute on the 6k that she ran at the Cougar Classic on Sept. 12. Annabell Clapp was the second Redhawk finisher after Groleau, with a time of 22:25. Freshman Peyton Basilio ran a 23:49, which was a marked improvement from her 24:33 at the Cougar Classic.
The Redhawks now will prepare for their first ever WCC Championships, held Saturday, Nov. 1, in Spokane, Wash.
