SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Seattle U men's soccer fell for the first time in their new conference, losing to Santa Clara, 0-1, Friday night in California. The Redhawks outshot the Broncos but conceded a second half goal that proved to be the difference.
Seattle U fell behind in the 64th and despite putting up six shots after the goal, the Redhawks could not find the equalizer.
The loss was the first for the Redhawks in the West Coast Conference, dropping them to 3-4-4 on the season and to 1-1-1 in conference. They will look to bounce back when they host in-state rival Gonzaga on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Kickoff in that match is scheduled for 6:00pm PT.
