SEATTLE - Freshman Serbian guard Jana Vesic became the final piece of Seattle University women’s basketball’s class of 2029 after signing with the Redhawks over the summer, as announced by head coach Skyler Young.
Vesic joins fellow freshmen Dylan Mogel and Chloe Emanga in the class of 2029 as the trio of Redhawks prepare for their collegiate debut this upcoming 2025-26 season. The Belgrade, Serbia native guided Team Serbia to a U18 FIBA U18 Women’s Eurobasket bronze, averaging 7.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and two assists in seven games, while shooting 44.4 percent from the field. She put up three double-digit scoring efforts en route to the third place finish, scoring 10 with four assists and two rebounds in the third place game.
This came on the heels of a FIBA U16 Women’s European Championship Division B gold win, where Vesic put up 8.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and an assists across seven games.
Vesic most recently played in the Serbian 3 ZLS, following a season in ZKK Mega MIS Beograd in 2023-24.
