NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Seattle U men's soccer fought CSUN to a scoreless draw Thursday night in Southern California. Both sides recorded eight shots, but neither were able to find the back of the net.

The Redhawks dropped down to 10 men midway through the second half when Edgar Leon was shown his second yellow card of the match. Despite being down a man, SU was still able to create chances as they put up five second half shots. One of their best opportunities came in the 82nd minute when Yeider Zuluaga shot the ball off a free kick just outside of the box that was parried away by the CSUN keeper.

On the defensive end, the Redhawks pitched their second straight shutout, as Charlie Lanphier secured clean sheet number 13 of his career. The senior keeper was called on to make just one save, but it was a historic one, as it was the 100th of his career.

The draw moves the Redhawks to 0-2-2 on the season as they continue their hunt for the first victory of 2025. They will have a chance to do it in a crosstown clash, as the Washington Huskies visit Championship Field on Monday for the Fewing Cup.
