REDHAWK HEADLINES
ALL-TIME RECORD
Seattle U is 1-3-0 all-time vs Oregon, with their first meeting coming back in the 2009 season. The Redhawks are 1-0 in home matches vs the Ducks. The two sides met last season in Euguene, where Oregon scored a goal in the 73rd minute that proved to be the difference in a 0-1 loss.
LAST TIME OUT
The Redhawks scored a season high three goals as they defeated Idaho State, 3-1, last Sunday. After trailing by a goal at half, the trio of Bella Bonnett, Kailee Wilson and Caroline Penner all scored in the second half to secure the victory.
STILL UNBEATEN
Seattle U is unbeaten, 2-0-3, in their first five games of the 2025 season. It is the longest unbeaten streak to start a season in their Division I history. The program’s longest unbeaten streak, regardless of what part of the season, was 12 back in 2006.
ATTACK IS HEATING UP
After scoring three goals in their first four matches of the season (own goal was scored in the Montana match) the Redhawks netted three in their win over Idaho State.
RECORD SETTING CROWD
Championship Field hosted 1240 fans during the Redhawks 1-1 draw with Washington on Thursday. It was the largest home attendance in Seattle U women’s soccer history.
FROM THE WAC TO THE WCC
The 2025 season will be the first for the Redhawks in the West Coast Conference after spending the last 13 in the Western Athletic Conference. Seattle U won a combined 11 conference championships between regular season and tournament, and posted a record of 82-20-19 record during their time in the WAC.
BONNETT WINS TOP PLAY
Bella Bonnett’s buzzer beating goal vs Washington was named the WCC Top Play for the Week. She found the back of the net with just three seconds left in the match to force a draw with the Huskies.
PENNER CRACKS TOP 10
Caroline Penner recorded her 22nd career goal in Friday’s win over Idaho State. That moved her into the program’s career top 10, tying her with Katie Jackson (1994-97) for 10th. She needs three more to move into a three-way tie for 9th with Cassy Smith (03-06) and Leahi Manthei (17-21).
EVERYONE GETTING INVOLVED
There has been four different goal scorers and six different assisters through five games this season. Bella Bonnett and Caroline Penner are the only players with multiple goals, while no Redhawk has more than one assist.
IN SAFE HANDS WITH KIRGAN
Kassidy Kirgan has made 20 saves and has a 0.80 goals against average through the first five games of the season. She also sits just two wins away from tying Madison Waguespack (2019-22) for 3rd all-time in program history for career wins (22).
