PULLMAN, Wash. - Following an unbeaten run in non-conference, Seattle U women's soccer opens West Coast Conference play with a showdown with instate foe Washington State on Thursday, Sep. 24. Kickoff from Pullman is scheduled for 7:00pm PT, with the match being streamed live on ESPN+.

ALL-TIME RECORD
Seattle U is 2-17 all-time vs Washington State, with their first meeting dating back to 1989. The Redhawks two wins in the series history have both come in Pullman (2014, 2021).
LAST TIME OUT
The last time the Redhawks and Cougars squared off was in 2023, a 1-2 loss for SU in Pullman. After Washington State scored two first half goals, the Redhawks held them scoreless in the second and picked up a PK goal from Kait Raffensperger in the 74th but couldn’t find the late equalizer.
UNBEATEN NON-CONFERENCE
For the first time in the program’s Division I era, the Redhawks went unbeaten in non-conference play at 4-0-4. Their record for an unbeaten streak is 12, set back in 2006 when they were in Division II.
WELCOME TO THE WCC
Entering their inaugural run in the West Coast Conference, the Redhawks rank second in goals scored and fourth in goals allowed. They also join San Diego as the only unbeaten teams in the conference through non-conference.
NUMBER 360 FOR COACH WOODWARD
Head Coach Julie Woodward secured her 360th career win at the helm of the Redhawk program vs UNLV. She ranks top 70 among all coaches in women’s collegiate soccer history.
FROM THE WAC TO THE WCC
The 2025 season will be the first for the Redhawks in the West Coast Conference after spending the last 13 in the Western Athletic Conference. Seattle U won a combined 11 conference championships between regular season and tournament, and posted a record of 82-20-19 record during their time in the WAC.
PENNER LEADING THE WAY
Caroline Penner’s six goals currently lead the team and WCC through non-conference play. She also tops the conference in points (14). She currently sits 8th all-time in program history with 26 career goals.
SETTING THE TABLE
Marla Gaudlitz, Zoe Hopkins, and Kyla Schuster all have three assists on the season and are tied for third in the WCC. The Redhawks as a team are tied with San Diego for 2nd for team assists (15).
SCHUSTER RECORDS FIRST COLLEGIATE GOAL
Kyla Schsuter netted her first collegiate goal in the Redhawks 3-3 draw with Cal Poly last week. Schuster, a sophomore out of San Dimas, Calif., has put on an impressive second season in a Redhawk uniform as she ranks third on the team in points (5).
WILSON IN GREAT FORM
Kailee Wilson has been on a solid run as of late, scoring or assisting in four of the last five games. She is second on the team in both goals (3) and points (7).
