REDHAWK HEADLINES

SERIES HISTORY
Seattle U is 0-6-2 all-time vs Denver but are 0-1-2 in their last three meetings with the Pioneers.

LAST TIME OUT
The Redhawks dropped a 1-2 result last season in Denver. After neither side was able to score in the first half, the Pioneers picked up two in the second, one on an own goal, to knock off the Redhawks. SU’s lone goal on the night was scored by Taketo Onodera on a PK in the 54th.

OFFENSE BACK ON TRACK
After scoring just two goals in their first four matches, Seattle U has found the back of the net nine times in their last three. Five different Redhawks have scored in that span, with Yeider Zuluaga (4) and Lars Thorne-Thomsen (2) being the only players with multiple.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
The Redhawks are 12-3-3 at home over the past three seasons. They have not lost more than one home game in back-to-back seasons.

BACK-TO-BACK TOURNEYS
Seattle U is coming off back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances for the first time in their Division I history. The last time the Redhawks made two straight national tournaments was 2003-2004, when the Redhawks won the National Title following a first round exit the year before.

FROM THE WAC TO THE WCC
The 2025 season will be the first for the Redhawks in the West Coast Conference after spending the last 13 in the Western Athletic Conference. Seattle U won a combined 10 conference championships between regular season and tournament, and posted a record of 83-19-14 during their time in the WAC. Their win total and conference championships are both conference records.

YEIDER PACING THE OFFENSE
Yeider Zuluaga is putting up career numbers throught the non-conference season. He leads the WCC in goals (5) and points (13) and is tied for 2nd in assists (3). The five goals tie his career high with 10 games remaining in the season.

LARS GOING BACK-TO-BACK
After not scoring a goal in his first 25 appearances over four seasons, Lars Thorne-Thomsen has found the net in back-to-back games. He and Zuluaga are the only two Redhawks with multiple goals this season.

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT
The Redhawks have gotten big contributions from their freshman class. Four different freshmen have found themselves in the starting XI throughout the season, while Allen Saye Blegay Jr and Ismael Yeo have both found the back of the net on the year in their first collegiate season.

4th FOR THE NEWCOMERS
Seattle U came in a tie for 4th place in the Preseason WCC Coaches Poll, level with San Francisco. San Diego, last season’s conference winner, was picked 1st, followed by Oregon State and Portland. The Redhawks also received votes in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 preseason poll.
