FULLERTON, Calif. - Seattle U men's soccer fought to a draw with Cal State Fullerton, 3-3, Thursday night in California. After conceding three second half goals, a River Stewart finish in the 89th minute helped the Redhawks salvage a point on the road.

Seattle U (1-3-3) were the ones to strike first on the night, when Lars Thorne-Thomsen headed home a cross from Eiji Hata in the 39th minute. It was the second straight game with a goal for Thorne-Thomsen, who scored his first at the collegiate level last week at UC Davis.

After carrying the 1-0 lead into the break, the Redhawks would take a pair of punches from the hosts as the Titans scored 54th and 65th to take the lead.

Yeider Zuluaga would end the Cal State Fullerton run when he took a set piece in the 70th, firing on goal from a spot just outside of the box and parallel to the goal line. It slipped through a crowded box and hit the back of the net as he equalized the match and picked up his fourth goal in the last three games.

The Titans would again find a way to push back out in front, being awarded a penalty in the 75th and converting.

On the back foot, Seattle U would put together another attack in the 89th minute. Led by Zuluaga, who made a run up the touchline before sending a perfectly placed ball into the box and to the foot of River Stewart. The forward would tap home the equalizer for his first goal of the 2025 season.

The draw moves the Redhawks to 1-3-3 on the season and gives them their fourth result in the last five games. They will look to keep improving their form when they host Denver on Monday, Sep. 22.
