SAN LUIS OBISPO - Seattle U women's soccer concluded their nonconference schedule with a 3-3 draw vs Cal Poly on Sunday. The Redhawks scored three goals in 12 minutes to take the lead, but a last second Mustang goal sent both teams how with a point.

After not being able to find a goal in the first half, and entering the break down one, the Redhawks caught fire early in the second half.

It started in the 48th when Caroline Penner headed home a cross from Kyla Schuster for her third goal of the weekend. Schuster would then be on the scoring end of her own goal just four minutes later, her first at the collegiate level.

The final SU goal of the night would come off the foot of Kailee Wilson, who ripped a shot at the top of the box into the top corner of the net for her third goal in the past four matches.

Cal Poly would not go quietly into the night after giving up a flurry of Seattle U goals, drawing one closer in the 76th and the eventual equalizer with just 10 seconds remaining in the match. It was the first time this season the Redhawks allowed more than one goal in a single match.

Despite having to settle for a tie, the Redhawks did move to 4-0-4 on the season and secured their first unbeaten nonconference in their Division I history.

Seattle U will now turn their attention to West Coast Conference play, when they open with in-state foe Washington State on Wednesday, Sep. 24, in Pullman.
