DAVIS, Calif. - Seattle U men's soccer picked up the first win of the 2025, taking down UC Davis, 4-0, Saturday night in California. Yeider Zuluaga recorded a brace as the Redhawk offense exploded for four goals.

Just like in the Washington match, it was Zuluaga who got the scoring started when he netted the opener off a free kick just outside of the box in the 6th minute. He would then proceed to set up the next Redhawk score, assisting the first collegiate goal for Ismael Yeo in the 31st.

The first half firsts theme would continue, as Lars Thorne-Thomsen found the back of the next for the first time in his college career in the 41st, sending Seattle U to the break with a three-goal advantage.

Zuluaga would strike again in the second half, cutting through the Aggie defense before firing one past the keeper in the 77th. It was the third career brace for the senior out of Colombia, and the first since the 2023 season. Adding in his first half assist, it was a career best 5-point night for the forward.

Not lost in the offensive output was a shutout from the defense and keeper Charlie Lanphier. The victory moved Lanphier into a tie with Jeremiah Doyle (98-04) for 5th all-time in career wins in program history with his 22nd.

It was a big win for the gaffer as well, with Nate Daligcon tying Pat Raney (81-85) for 3rd all-time in coaching wins.

Next up for the Redhawks will be a meeting with Cal State Fullerton on Thursday, Sep. 18.
