SEATTLE - Behind a second half brace by Caroline Penner, Seattle U women's soccer cruised to a 4-0 win over UNLV Thursday night at Championship Field. It was the highest goal total of the season as the Redhawks extended their unbeaten streak to seven.

The scoring started in the 16th minute for the Redhawks, when U'i Kaaihue scored on a loose ball in the box off a Marla Gaudlitz shot. It was the first goal of the season for Kaaihue.

Just under three minutes later, Kaaihue would be involved on the second SU goal of the night, this time picking up an assist from a corner kick. He in swinging ball was headed down by Caroline Penner, with the ball being bumped in off the hip of Kailee Wilson

After taking their two-goal lead into the break, the Redhawks would add a third and fourth courtesy of Penner in the second half. Both of her goals, in the 81st and 85th, were nearly identical. At the top of the 18, she hit lofting balls that just sneaked under the crossbar and beat the Rebel keeper.

It was the fourth time in Penner's career that she recorded a multi-goal game. Adding in her assist on the night, it brought her career point total to 45.

Also making ground in the record books was goalkeeper Kassidy Kirgan, whose clean sheet victory gave her career win number 24, tying her with Madison Waguespack for 3rd all-time in program history.

The victory gives the Redhawks their third straight victory and moves them to 4-0-3 on the season. They have a chance to finish the nonconference season unbeaten when they travel to California to face Cal Poly on Sunday, Sep. 14.
