SEATTLE - Seattle U women’s basketball 2025-26 picture continued to build shape with the addition of Utah Tech senior transfer guard Aaliyah Ibarra to the roster as announced by head coach Skyler Young.

The Las Vegas native joins on after one season at Utah Tech, where she guided the Trailblazers to a WAC Tournament quarterfinals appearance in 2025. 

This past season Ibarra posted 7.8 points and 2.1 rebounds a contest in 29 appearances and five starts. She combined for 39 makes from behind the arc, the second most on the team, while scoring a total of 226 points on the year. She also collected 20 steals, 23 assists and 60 rebounds. She ranked fourth on the team in scoring, tallying 83 made field goals, shooting 38.8 percent from the field.

Her 36 point effort against McNeese was the highest scoring affair by a Trailblazer this past season. She made 12 field goals, including five makes from three and seven made free throws. Ibarra recorded 11 double digit scoring games, with three of those efforts going for 20+ points. In the WAC opening round, she scored 21 in 22 minutes of action, shooting 50 percent from behind the arc. 

Ibarra began her collegiate career at the College of Southern Nevada, debuting in the 2022-23 season. In two seasons with the Coyotes, Ibarra averaged in the double digits in scoring both seasons. She was the Scenic West Athletic Conference’s second-leading scorer in her sophomore season while leading the league in made triples and made 90 on the year while finishing eighth overall in free throw percentage (72.5) that same season. She averaged 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists during her time.

Ibarra graduated high school from Centennial in Las Vegas, where she guided heer squad to three-straight Nevada state championships. She was also tabbed Clark County Athletic Conference Female Athlete Rookie of the Year during her tenure.
