SEATTLE - Seattle U women's soccer extended their historic unbeaten streak to five as they took down Idaho State, 3-1, Sunday afternoon at Championship Field. Trailing at half, three different Redhawks scored in the second to secure the come from behind win.
"I continue to be very impressed with our team," head coach Julie Woodward said post-game. "Going into halftime I believed they knew we could play better and create more chances."
Riding the momentum from her buzzer beating goal in the Washington match, Bella Bonnett once again scored an equalizer, this time coming in the 60th minute off an assist from Caroline Penner. It is the first time in Bonnett's collegiate career that she has recorded goals in back-to-back games.

It would be rapid fire goals after that, with Kailee Wilson scoring one in the 65th and Penner scoring her own in the 68th. Wilson was also on the assisting end of the lone goal on Thursday, giving her a three-point week.
After allowing one goal in the first half, Kassidy Kirgan and the Redhawk defense hunkered down in the second, allowing just one Bengal shot in the half. Kirgan made four saves to pick up her second win of the year and 22nd of her career.
"I am proud of our second 45 minutes," Woodward added. This team is very deep, and I think that's one of our strengths."
The win moved the Redhawks to 2-0-3 to start the season, with their unbeaten streak continuing to set a new bar in the program's Division I history. They will look to add to it when they host Oregon on Friday, Sep. 5.
