SEATTLE - Behind a last second goal from Bella Bonnett, Seattle U women's soccer fought to a 1-1 draw with Washington Thursday night in the Battle for Seattle.

The visitors struck first in the cross-town clash, netting the opener in the 23rd minute of the first half. Seattle U was outshot 5-13 in the first half but still went into the break only trailing by one goal.

Shots evened out in the second half as the Redhawks started to find their footing after intermission. The best chance at an equalizer came in the 72nd minute when a Zoe Hopkins pass set Abbie Mai up right in front of goal, but her shot was saved by the Husky keeper.

With their backs now against the wall and an injury stoppage coming with just 30 seconds remaining, the Redhawks got a drop ball reset that Kassidy Kirgan booted down the pitch.

The ball eventually fell to the feet of Hopkins who laid it to the left side of the box and to Kailee Wilson. A cross would then be whipped in and find the left foot of Bella Bonnett who punched it home with just three ticks left on the clock.

After a Husky kick off the whistle was blown and the Redhawks made it three straight draws in the series. The result also pushed the Redhawks unbeaten streak to four to start the 2025 season.

The Rehawks will look to keep the streak alive when they host Idaho State this Sunday, Aug. 31, at Championship Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00pm PT with the game being streamed lived on ESPN+.
