SEATTLE - Before an official start on August 29, Seattle U volleyball provides a first glimpse into the 2025 season with its Red & White Scrimmage on Friday night, August 22 at the Redhawk Center.
The event is free and open to the public with the match set to start at 6 PM.
Seattle U welcomed four new Redhawks over the winter quarter, with transfers Adee Butler, Teagan Melton, Madyn Cervellera and Kaitlyn Gotsch joining the program in early 2025. The class of 2029, made up by Alohalani Chun, Evie Morrissette, Petra Fritz, Tiana Mariner and Katelynn Albano, stepped foot on campus in early August, brought into the fold by the six Redhawk returners in addition to the transfers.
The 15 Redhawks will be the first team to debut in the West Coast Conference as Seattle U officially joined the league on July 1, 2025. They begin conference play on the road, with a trip to LMU and Pepperdine in late September before debuting at home against Washington State for their Volleypalooza game on October 2.
Seattle U will appear in four tournaments through its non-conference slate, kicking off the season on the road for the Amy Svoboda Memorial Classic hosted by Air Force from Friday, August 29 through Sunday, August 31. The Redhawks debut at home for the Seattle U Invitational on Thursday, September 4. They host Idaho, Manhattan and CSU Fullerton through the first weekend of September.
