SEATTLE - Seattle U women's soccer took down Eastern Washington, 1-0, Thursday night in their 2025 season opener. Alana Lamb scored the lone goal of the match in the 51st minute as the Redhawks kept their unbeaten streak vs the Eagles alive.
The Redhawks drew a foul just outside of the box in the 50th minute setting up a set piece. U'I Kaaihue took the free kick and found Lamb at the back post for the header goal. It was the third career goal for Lamb and the sixth assist for Kaaihue.

Paired with the goal was a shutout performance by the Redhawk defense. Kassidy Kirgan was called on to make just one save as SU held Eastern to eight shots.
The victory made it nine victories in nine matches vs Eastern Washington all-time, and ended a slump of nine years without a victory in the season opener.
Seattle U will be back in action next week when they play a pair of matches in Montana. They will battle Montana on Thursday, Aug. 21, before facing Denver in a neutral siter clash on Sunday.
