REDHAWK HEADLINES:
SERIES HISTORY

The Redhawks are unbeaten in eight all-time meetings with the Eagles. Seattle U has allowed just one goal in five home meetings with Eastern Washington and has given up just two goals in the all-time series.

LAST MEETING

Seattle U took down the Eagles, 1-0, at Championship Field back on Sep. 2, 2021. The match, which went into overtime, was won by a 98th minute goal from Hallie Bergford.

GOALS GALORE

Matching their defensive dominance in the series with the Eagles has been an explosive offensive output. The Redhawks are averaging 2.5 goals per game over their eight meetings with their largest margin of victory coming in a 5-0 shutout back in 2011.

SEASON OPENING STRUGGLES

The Redhawks are 1-8-1 in their past 10 season openers, including a winless streak dating back to 2016.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE

Championship Field has proved to be a tough place for road teams, with Seattle U posting a 40-17-9 record at home over the past seven seasons. Their last season with a losing record at home came in 2017 (2-3-2).

FROM THE WAC TO THE WCC

The 2025 season will be the first for the Redhawks in the West Coast Conference after spending the last 13 in the Western Athletic Conference. Seattle U won a combined 11 conference championships between regular season and tournament, and posted a record of 82-20-19 record during their time in the WAC.

THE POWER OF PENNER

Caroline Penner enters her senior season with the program after leading the team in goals in back-to-back seasons. The First Team All-Conference selection last season netted eight goals and assisted on another in 2024. Her scoring prowess earned her a Preseason All-WCC Team selection this year, along with being named to the United Soccer Coaches Forwards to Watch list.

HAWAIIAN 1-2 PUNCH

Joining Penner on the United Soccer Coaches Watch list was a pair of Hawaiins, with U’i Kaaihue and Kailee Wilson both being selected as midfielders. Kaaihue, a senior from Maui and Wilson, a junior from Mililani, combined to score five goals and assist another five in 2024.

YOU’RE IN SAFE HANDS WITH KIRGAN

Kassidy Kirgan is back in goal for her third season with the Redhawks. She has posted back-to-back 10-win seasons to start her collegiate career and has compiled 149 saves and 13 shutouts in that time. Kirgan ranks 4th all-time in program history in both wins and saves.
