Liliya Dimova Named Conference Nominee for 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Liliya Dimova of Seattle University women's tennis has been chosen as one of two Western Athletic Conference representatives for the 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.Liliya Dimova of Seattle University women's tennis has been chosen as one of two Western Athletic Conference representatives for the 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.

Dimova becomes the first Redhawk to advance to the conference nomination level since Jessie Ray of women's soccer in 2020 and the fifth overall, joining Ray, Wilma Afunugo (2017), Blaise Wittenauer-Lee (2017) and Stephanie Verdoia (2015) as Seattle U student athletes who were nominated by the WAC for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award.

Dimova completed her four-year collegiate career this past spring and earned her degree in Management in June. On the court her senior season was highlighted by winning the WAC Fall Invitational doubles with partner Lamija Avdic and becoming the first Redhawk to qualify for ITA Masters. She earned WAC Doubles Player of the Month honors in October 2024 and WAC Doubles Player of the Week in April 2025.

The Varna, Bulgaria, native was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and earned 2025 ITA All-Scholar Athlete recognition.

Established in 1991, the NCAA Woman of the Year award recognizes graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers.
