Three Redhawks Named Cobalt Golf All-American Scholars

NORMAN, Okla. – Three Seattle University men's golfers, Benjamin Ragland, William Koch and Kevin Li, have been named as 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-American Scholars. This is Ragland's second distinction and Koch and Li's first selection.

NORMAN, Okla.  Three Seattle University men's golfers, Benjamin Ragland, William Koch and Kevin Li, have been named as 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-American Scholars. This is Ragland's second distinction and Koch and Li's first selection.
 
Ragland, a junior hailing from San Ramon, Calif., competed in 11 tournaments and finished the season with an average score of 74.30. His best finish came at the Mesquite Invitational where he placed seventh, shooting his lowest round of the season at under-5 on February 18. Ragland was also named to the CSC All-Academic All-District Team.
 
Sophomore Will Koch from Portland, Ore., played in 11 tournaments and had an average score of 74.09. Koch shot his lowest round of under-3 while at the NCAA Regionals, which helped the team place 13th overall. Koch joined Ragland on the CSC All-Academic All-District Team as well.
 
From Shenzhen, China, sophomore Kevin Li competed in all 12 tournaments and had the lowest average on the team of 72.14. Li had his best finish of the year placing second at the WAC Championship.
 
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
