SEATTLE – Seattle University men's basketball assistant coach Grant Leep has been promoted to Associate Head Coach, head coach Chris Victor announced Monday.
Leep joined the staff in the spring of 2023 and has played a pivotal role in the program's growth and success as he steps into the elevated leadership position.
"Grant's dedication, basketball mind and commitment to our student athletes' success on and off the court make him an invaluable part of our program," said Victor. "His promotion to Associate Head Coach is a well-deserved recognition of the impact he's made and the leadership he brings every day."
Leep's responsibilities have included leading the Redhawks' offense, overseeing academic support efforts, managing scheduling and serving as a key leader in recruiting. His impact and leadership in these key areas have been instrumental in the program's continued growth and success, including 37 wins and the 2024 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) championship during his two seasons with the program.
"I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and excited to continue building something special here at Seattle U," Leep said. "I'm proud to work alongside an incredible coaching staff and motivated student athletes who represent this university with passion and integrity."
The Redhawks are poised for a new chapter of competitive success as they prepare for Seattle U's inaugural season in the West Coast Conference in 2025-26.
