Six Redhawks Earn NABC Honors Court Status

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the eighth consecutive year, Seattle University men's basketball has earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award. In addition, six Redhawks were named to the NABC Honors Court.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the eighth consecutive year, Seattle University men's basketball has earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award. In addition, six Redhawks were named to the NABC Honors Court.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

The Redhawks compiled a 3.178 team GPA for the 2024-25 academic year, including a 3.209 team GPA during the winter quarter. Seattle U was one of just two Western Athletic Conference programs to make the list along with Abilene Christian. Three West Coast Conference programs were among the honorees including LMU, Oregon State and Washington State. Seattle U's six honorees were most among the four conference peers.

John Christofilis, Niko Fotopoulos, Brayden Maldonado, Vasja Pandža, Viktor Rajkovic and Kobe Williamson all took home the Honors Court recognition. This marked a third straight honor for Pandža, Rajkovic and Williamson while Christofilis earned the honor for a second straight year. Fotopoulos and Maldonado were first-time honorees.

This marks the seventh consecutive year that multiple Redhawks have been named to the NABC Honors Court. Nine players were honored in 2023-24, a record 11 players were honored in 2022-23, six players were honored in 2021-22, three players were honored in 2020-21, four were honored in 2019-20 and two players were honored in 2018-19.
