Academic Excellence Maintains Through Spring Quarter

SEATTLE - Seattle University athletics continues to boast high academic performances across all 18 teams as each program posted grade point averages over 3.0 in the spring term. As a collective, Redhawk student athletes recorded a 3.450 GPA over the duration of the quarter, marking the fifth time in the last six terms they have achieved a 3.4 or higher GPA.

SEATTLE - Seattle University athletics continues to boast high academic performances across all 18 teams as each program posted grade point averages over 3.0 in the spring term. As a collective, Redhawk student athletes recorded a 3.450 GPA over the duration of the quarter, marking the fifth time in the last six terms they have achieved a 3.4 or higher GPA.
 
This marks the 16th consecutive term that the combined student athlete population has recorded above a 3.30 GPA. 182 student athletes (60.07%) made the Dean's List (3.5+), while 85 made the President's List holding a 3.9 GPA or higher.
 
Together, Redhawk student athletes recorded a 3.453 cumulative GPA over the duration of the 2024-25 season, an increase from last year's 3.440, and a marked improvement from the winter (3.41). This marks the third straight year of a noted increase in yearly cumulative GPA.
 
Women's tennis led the charge with a 3.966 GPA, followed by women's golf (3.798). Women's soccer (3.758), men's tennis (3.656) and women's cross country (3.598) completed the quarter's top-five. Women's rowing (3.596), volleyball (3.579) and softball (3.515) rounded out the group of programs 3.5 or higher.
 
Women's swimming (3.460) and women's track (3.459) each posted above the term GPA, as the duo combined for averages at 3.4 or higher.
 
Women's basketball (3.384), men's soccer (3.329), men's swimming (3.328), men's golf (3.299), baseball (3.270), men's track (3.194), men's basketball (3.154) and men's cross country (3.049) all shared strong terms as well.
 
A collective of 46 Redhawks earned 4.0 GPAs for the quarter, while nearly two thirds of the total student athlete population recorded a GPA between a 3.5-4.0 to complete the year.
