SEATTLE - First to join the class of 2029 for Seattle U women's basketball is incoming freshman Dylan Mogel, who signed on in the early signing period, as announced by head coach Skyler Young.
Mogel, a native of Clackamas, Oregon, played all four years on varsity for Clackamas HS while also competing with Northwest Select, her club team. During her tenure she picked up multiple conference honors, highlighted by her spot on All-Mt. Hood Conference First Team and Defensive Player of the Year recognition.
The 5'9 guard is no stranger to success having guided Clackamas to a 6A state championship in 2023 and a semifinals appearance in 2024. Mogel, alongside her talented senior class, battled to a third place finish in the 6A state championship their freshmen season.
After a semifinals berth in 2024, the team was primed for another run in 2025. At the turn of the new year, Clackamas ranked No. 8 in the nation per ESPN's Hoopgurlz power rankings after opening the month of January with an undefeated conference record. Mogel and the Cavaliers fought their way to a runner-up finish at the 2025 6A state championship tournament.
Mogel earned Mt. Hood Defensive Player of the Year as a freshman and showed a resilient fight after working her way back from two torn ACLs over her career to earn a spot on All-State honorable mention team. She posted 6.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and two steals a contest in her senior season.
