NAPA, Calif.– The regular season wrapped up for the Seattle University Redhawks, who shot +50 across 54 holes at the Chevron Silverado Showdown. That competition included eight different teams ranked in the top 50, with just two of 16 teams finishing below par overall.
Rivekka Jumagulova was Seattle U's top finisher at +9 overall. She shot +1 over, 73 and +2 over, 74 in the first two rounds. Her +6 over, 78 round three ended a streak of 21 consecutive rounds with a score of 74 or lower.
Jeanne Padillo's best score came in round two, an even-par performance. In that round, Padillo recorded four birdies, the most by any Redhawk in a single round this competition. Her even-par round score was also the lowest score of any Redhawk at the Silverado Showdown. She shot +7 over, 79 in both rounds one and three.
Shayna Lu finished at +16 and Annika Cruz at +17. That duo each improved every round of the Silverado Showdown, culminating in scores of +2 over, 74 for each in round three. Lu recorded two birdies that round, while Cruz had one.
Tsara Ralamboarison shot +19 overall across 54 holes. She shot +6 over, 78 in both rounds one and three and +7 over, 79 in round two.
With the regular season finished, the Redhawks head to the Western Athletic Conference Championships, which begin April 14 in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
