ARLINGTON, Texas - After leading the Seattle University Redhawks to a Senior Day win, Liliya Dimova and Lola Tavcar have been named the Western Athletic Conference Doubles Players of the Week. This is the third such honor of both Dimova's and Tavcar's careers.
This makes it two straight weeks that the Redhawks have earned Doubles Players of the Week from the WAC. Last week, Lamija Avdic and Natalia Michta earned the award. Dimova has now earned the award twice this year alone, also earning it alongside Avdic after that duo became the first Redhawks ever to qualify for ITA Conference Masters.
Tavcar last earned Doubles Player of the Week in 2024. She twice earned the award that year, both times alongside Avdic, in March and February of that year.
Dimova and Tavcar earned the first win of the match, winning 6-3 on court three in doubles en route to a doubles point for the Redhawks. Dimova and Tavcar are undefeated since pairing together last week, winning three straight matches, all by at least three points.
The Redhawks next head to the WAC Tournament, which begins April 17 in Arlington, Texas.
