SEATTLE – The Seattle University Redhawks put together a complete performance on Senior Day, winning 6-1 at home over Eastern Washington. The Redhawks took five of six points from singles for their biggest win of the year.
The senior duo of Liliya Dimova and Jade Quintana each went undefeated on the day. Dimova won her doubles match, paired with Lola Tavcar, 6-3, as well as her singles match on court two 6-2, 6-0. Since pairing together at the beginning of last week, Dimova and Tavcar have won three straight doubles matches, all by at least three points.
Quintana paired with Daria Nazarenko to win a doubles match that sealed the point on court two, 6-3.
Nazarenko, Dimova, and Tavcar all won both doubles and singles matches. Nazarenko won 7-5, 6-2 on court four, while Tavcar won 6-2, 6-2 on court six for the first singles win in the match. Lamija Avdic also won 6-2, 6-4 on court one, making it five straight matches since Avdic has lost in singles. Natalia Michta earned a three-set win, 1-6, 6-0, 6-0, her second win in the last three matches in singles.
With the regular season in the books, the Redhawks next head to the WAC Tournament, which begins April 17 in Arlington, Texas.
