SEATTLE - The Seattle University Redhawks will take part in the 2025 National Golf Invitational as postseason play continues. This year's NGI will be at the Southern Dunes Golf Course in Maricopa, Arizona. The competition will take place over three days, May 9-11, with one round each day.
The Redhawks are one of ten teams competing at the NGI. Also taking part will be North Texas, Rutgers, Mercer, Santa Clara, Oral Roberts, UNC Wilmington, Eastern Michigan, UNC Greensboro, and Bowling Green.
The NGI comes after Seattle U completed the Western Athletic Conference Championship, where the Redhawks finished fourth in their defense of the 2024 WAC title, won by Seattle U.
This is the third straight year of postseason play for the Redhawks. Last season, Seattle U competed in NCAA Regionals after securing the program's first-ever WAC championship. In 2023, the Redhawks took part in the NGI, which was also held in Maricopa, though at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. Four current Redhawks took part in the 2023 NGI: Aaryanna Morris, Annika Cruz, Rivekka Jumagulova, and Shayna Lu all competed. Morris was the top performer of those four, finishing 31st.
Five Redhawks enter the NGI with NCAA Regionals experience as well. Jumagulova, Cruz, Lu, and Morris all took part in last year's NCAA Regionals as well as the 2023 NGI. Tsara Ralamboarison has not competed at the NGI but was a part of Seattle U's NCAA Regionals squad last year.
