LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Seattle University Redhawks took fourth at the Western Athletic Conference Championship, finishing at +28 as a team. The defending WAC champions from 2024, the Redhawks finished this year's competition with their strongest round, shooting +1 as a team in round three, the best of any team in the WAC on the final day.
Rivekka Jumagulova had the two best rounds for the Redhawks, shooting -1 under, 71 and -2 under, 70 in rounds two and three to end at +4 overall. Round three saw Jumagulova record six birdies, helping her to move up to eighth overall as Seattle U's top finisher. Jumagulova has finished in the top ten at the WAC Championship for three straight years, having finished sixth in both 2023 and 2024.
Jeanne Padillo took 11th for the Redhawks with an overall score of +6. The freshman improved each round, from a +3 over, 75 to a +2 over 74 and, finally, a +1 over, 73 in round three. Padillo's eighth-place finish is the highest by a Redhawk freshman at the WAC Championship since 2023, when Aaryanna Morris finished tied for second.
Tsara Ralamboarison also had a round of -1 under, 71, coming in round three. In all, Ralamboarison took 13th with a score of +7 after a +3 over, 75 round one and a +5 over, 77 round two. Last season, Ralamboarison also finished 13th in the WAC, with a three-round score of +14.
Annika Cruz finished at +11 overall with a best single-round score of +3 over, 75 in both rounds one and three. That was an improvement over her 2024 WAC Championship, where she shot +12 overall.
Aaryanna Morris competed in rounds one and three, shooting +8 over, 80 and +5 over, 77. Shayna Lu competed in round two, shooting a +8 over, 80.
The NCAA Regionals selection show will be aired on April 23 at 10:00 am PT on the Golf Channel.
