SEATTLE - With the regular season wrapped, the Seattle University Redhawks head to Arlington, Texas for the WAC Tournament. That tournament begins April 18. First up will be a matchup against Grand Canyon for the Redhawks. If the Redhawks win that matchup, they will advance and play again on April 19.

The Redhawks are fresh off a 5-2 Senior Day win. Jun Sasagaw earned both singles and doubles points for the Redhawks, winning 6-0 with Veselin Kiselkov in doubles and 6-3, 6-3 on court three in singles. Yuan Lu and Yu-Han Hsieh continued their impressive pairing with a 6-3 doubles win, this time on court one. Filip Stipic, Michael Frank, and Dario Ristovski all earned singles victories as well.

Last season, the Redhawks fell in the quarterfinals of the WAC Tournament to UTRGV, held in Harlingen, Texas. Hsieh and Stipic earned a 6-2 doubles win in that match. Current Redhawks Frank, Kiselkov, Sasagawa, and Ristovski all appeared as well.

The Redhawks have fallen to UTRGV in each of the last two WAC Tournaments: UTRGV is no longer in the league this year. In fact, the Redhawks have never faced a current member of the WAC in the WAC Tournament.

Seattle U's last WAC tournament came in October at the WAC Fall Invitational. There, Sasagawa and Stipic competed in singles, with each falling in the first round. In doubles play, that duo lost in the semifinals to Grand Canyon.
