SEATTLE - Honoring its three seniors, Seattle U women's basketball (3-25, 0-15 WAC) hosts Utah Tech (5-23, 1-14 WAC) for its final game of the regular season at 1 PM on Saturday afternoon at the Redhawk Center.
Graduates Taisiya Kozlova and Christeina Bryan will be recognized alongside senior Julianna Walker prior to the start of Saturday's contest. Bryan ranks amongst the top-20 in the WAC in rebounding. She paces the team with 5.5 a game, while scoring 9.0 points a contest for the Redhawks shooting 44.8 percent from the floor.
Kozlova, having secured a WAC Newcomer of the Week recognition in non-conference play, has the sixth most made threes on the team. Walker has hit 35 shots from behind the arc this season, averaging 1.5 a game while shooting 32.4 percent from three to rank tied-13th in the WAC this season.
Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe paces the Redhawk offense with 10.9 points a game, which ranks 16th in the conference. Edokpaigbe is the league's lone freshman that ranks in the top-20 in scoring on the season. She's appeared and started in all 28 contests this season and shoots 52.1 percent from the field. The Naples, Italy native also ranks amongst the top of the conference in steals (1.7), free throw percentage (66.1) and offensive rebounds (2.3).
Joining Walker as one of the best three point shooters in the WAC, redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore has struck 37 times from behind the arc, averaging 1.7 makes a game after 22 appearances. Moore shoots 40.2 percent from deep to lead all Redhawks, while pacing the team with 2.6 assists a game.
Redshirt junior Tamia Stricklin, alongside Bryan, ranks top-20 in the WAC in rebounds. She averages 4.9 a contest while also adding 9.0 points a game.
Utah Tech and Seattle U meet for the eighth time in program history. The Redhawks trail the all-time series 5-2 and have not defeated the Trailblazers since the 2022-23 season. They last bested Utah Tech at home in 2022, defeating the Trailblazers by eight. Utah Tech has taken the last four meetings starting with an overtime victory in Seattle in 2023.
Since their meeting earlier in 2025 in St. George, Utah, the Trailblazers, like the Redhawks, are in active pursuit of snapping a WAC losing skid. They have not picked up a win since defeating the Redhawks by ten at Burns Arena. Utah Tech is 1-12 on the road this season.
