SEATTLE - Closing out the regular season at home, the Seattle U women's basketball team hosts Southern Utah at the Redhawk Center for International Night on Thursday at 6 PM.
 
Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe comes off her fifth game in a row as the team's leading scorer, combining for 32 points against California Baptist and Grand Canyon. The freshman ranks top-20, taking the 17th spot in the WAC in scoring, averaging 10.9 points a game while shooting 51.9 percent from the field. 
 
Edokpaigbe is the lone freshman ranked amongst the league in scoring, while also ranking amongst the top of the WAC in rebounds (4.9), offensive rebounds (2.4), free throw percentage (65.2 percent), and steals (1.7).
 
Scoring heavily from outside the arc is redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore. She ranks seventh in the WAC in made triples, knocking down 34 in 21 games for an average of 1.6 makes a game. Moore shoots 39.5 percent from three point land on the season and also ranks in the top-15 in assists, handing out 2.7 a game.
 
Aiding in scoring is redshirt junior Tamia Stricklin and graduate Christeina Bryan. Bryan joins Edokpaigbe in the top-20 in the WAC in rebounding, pacing the team with 5.4 a game. Bryan scores 9.1 points a game for the Redhawks with appearances in all 27 games, shooting 45.1 percent from the floor.
 
Stricklin posts 9.2 points a game while averaging 1.3 triples. She has 21 makes from behind the arc in conference contests, averaging 1.5 in 14 games to rank alongside both Moore and senior Julianna Walker in the league's top-15 in three pointers made.
 
Walker is averaging 1.7 threes across each of the 14 conference games. On the year, she has the third most makes from deep, knocking down 32 in 23 appearances. Stricklin has 33 on the year, shooting 34.4 percent from beyond the arc.
 
Together, the Redhawks rank fifth amongst its WAC competitors in made threes with 184 in 27 games. The mark is now the tenth most made by a Redhawk team in a single season. They also rank sixth in the conference in steals, grabbing 8.7 a game as a team.
 
Thursday night's game is the fifth ever meeting between Southern Utah and SU. The Redhawks trail the all-time series 3-1. They collected their first series win over the Thunderbirds a season ago in Seattle, defeating Southern Utah by four, 75-71, at the Redhawk Center. In the first meeting this year, the Thunderbirds staved off the Redhawks in Cedar City, Utah, taking the 61-57 win. Since then, Southern Utah now holds a 3-8 record in road contests and a 6-9 record in league play.
 
Following Thursday's game, the Redhawks prepare for their senior celebration for their home finale against Utah Tech on Saturday afternoon.
