PHOENIX – The Seattle University Redhawks fell 0-4 to Cal Poly on Grand Canyon's campus in Phoenix in their first action of the weekend. This was the first-ever dual matchup between Seattle U and Cal Poly.
Filip Stipic led 6-4, 4-3 in singles on court one in a match that went unfinished. Dario Ristovski was also leading in his singles match: on court six, Ristovski led 7-6 (7-4), 2-1 in the second set. Veselin Kiselkov's match went unfinished during a competitive second set. Kiselkov fell 2-6 in set one and was trailing 5-6 in set two at the end of the match.
Stipic and Jun Sasagawa paired on court one in doubles, with their match going unfinished as Cal Poly earned wins on courts two and three to seal the point.
The Redhawks are back in action tomorrow against host Grand Canyon at 1:00 pm PT.
