KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Seattle University's Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe was selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Pacific All-District Second Team, the association announced Tuesday.

Moncrieffe, a graduate forward in his first year with the Redhawks, led Seattle U in points and rebounds this season, averaging just shy of a double-double with 15.2 ppg and 9.6 rpg. He tallied a league-best 11 double-doubles on the season, the most for a Seattle U player in the modern DI era.

The Toronto, Ontario, Canada, native led the Western Athletic Conference in rebounds (277), field-goal percentage (55.5%), defensive rebounds per game (6.76) and double-doubles (11), while ranking second in rebounds per game (9.6), free throws (147) and free-throw attempts (223) and third in offensive rebounds per game (2.79). His marks also ranked him among the best in the nation, including 16th in rebounds per game and 32nd in double-doubles.

Moncrieffe's marks throughout the year led to First Team All-WAC honors, one WAC Player of the Week award and two WAC Newcomer of the Week awards. He had six games scoring 20 points or more, including a career-high 26 points in Seattle U's regular season finale at Utah Tech.

This marks the seventh consecutive year that the Redhawks have garnered All-District selections. Cameron Tyson was a First Team selection in 2024 while Alex Schumacher earned Second Team recognition. Tyson was also First Team pick in 2023, Darrion Trammell was a First Team selection in 2021 and 2022, Terrell Brown was a First Team selection in 2020 and Myles Carter was named to the Second Team in 2019.

The NABC introduced a new model for its Division I district alignment this season, with schools arranged by state rather than by conference. The modernized NABC Division I district alignment features 10 geographic regions that each encompass multiple states. Every Division I school in each given state belongs to that state's corresponding district.
