PORTLAND - Seattle U baseball was blanked in their match up with Portland, 0-8, Tuesday afternoon. The Redhawks were held to no runs and no hits as they fell to their I-5 rivals.

"Never been a part of a perfect game and definitely did not want to be on the losing side of one," said head coach Donny Harrel "(Ryan) Rembisz dominated us from the first inning and the few balls we hit hard were right at defenders, so all compliments to him and Portland scouting reports."

Micah Hagler (0-1) was the pitcher of record after making his second start of the season. The righty went 2.2 IP while giving up six earned on nine hits.

"We were not ready to play defensively or were sharp on the mound to start, so our focus level this week will be on that," Harrel added. " Bullpen did a nice job, so that was a positive for the day."

The loss drops the Redhawks to 0-8 on the season. They will be back on the diamond for their home opener this Friday, Feb. 28, when they host Pacific for game one of a 3-game series.
