SEATTLE - Seattle U women's basketball (3-21, 0-11 WAC) gets comfortable for Pajama Day as it prepares for its final home game of February on Saturday at 12:00 PM* PT against Utah Valley (14-10, 6-6 WAC) to wrap up its three-game homestand at the Redhawk Center in pursuit of the first WAC win of the season. 
 
Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe came off a WAC Newcomer of the Week worthy weekend in SU's two appearances last week, averaging 18.0 points and 9.5 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the floor in two games. Edokpaigbe comes off a career performance in the three point loss to Tarleton State after recording 21 points, eight rebounds and three blocks while shooting 56.3 percent from the field.
 
Edokpaigbe is the WAC's only freshman to appear in the top-20 in scoring, posting 10.4 points a game in 24 games. She also ranks 10th in the conference in offensive rebounds, averaging 2.1 a contest. On the season, the freshman shoots 51.4 percent from the floor, averaging 3.9 made field goals a game, while hauling in 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals a game.
 
Aiding in scoring from the perimeter are redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore and senior Julianna Walker. The pair both rank in the top-15 in the conference in made three pointers, with Moore ranking ninth with 29 makes in 18 appearances, averaging 1.6 a contest. Walker takes 13th with 1.5 makes from three, tallying 29 on the year after 20 games. Redshirt junior Tamia Stricklin ranks first on the team with 30 makes from behind the arc on the season, while Moore paces the team hitting a 40.8 percent clip from three.
 
Stricklin and graduate Christeina Bryan rank top-20 in the WAC in rebounding, with Bryan tying-15th with 5.5 rebounds a game. Stricklin posts 4.8 a game on average. The duo have a big hand in scoring, with Bryan averaging 9.0 points a game to Stricklin's 9.3. Bryan is a 46 percent shooter from the floor while Stricklin hits 33.7 percent from behind the arc. In conference contests, Stricklin paces the team averaging 10.5 points a game while Bryan adds 9.7 points and 5.7 rebounds a game.
 
Saturday's game is the 29th all-time meeting between Seattle U and Utah Valley dating back to 2011. The Redhawks retain the series edge 15-13 despite the Wolverines taking the first game this season in Orem, Utah. In the last five meetings, the Redhawks are 3-2, last defeating the Wolverines in Seattle in 2023 by a 58-48 decision. Utah Valley snapped a four-game losing skid on Wednesday night after defeating Utah Tech at the UCCU Center. The Wolverines are 4-6 on the road this season and 2-4 on the road in WAC games.
 
Following Saturday's game the Redhawks travel for the final time in conference play, splitting the weekend between Riverside, Calif. and Phoenix, Ariz. for games against California Baptist and WAC leader Grand Canyon.
