SEATTLE – Seattle University men's basketball makes its final trip to Texas this week, beginning a two-game Western Athletic Conference road swing on Thursday, Feb. 13 at Abilene Christian. Tip off from Moody Coliseum in Abilene, Texas, is set for 7 p.m. Central, 5 p.m. Pacific. The game will air live on ESPN+.

  • The Redhawks completed a two-game sweep of WAC rivals with a thrilling 67-65 victory over UT Arlington on Saturday.
  • John Christofilis buried the buzzer-beating, game-winning three, his lone three pointer of the night.
  • Brayden Maldonado capped a monster week of play with a season-high 26 points, including a career-high seven three pointers.
  • Maldonado was named WAC Player and Newcomer of the Week after averaging 22 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 70% FGs and 72.2% from three (13-18).
  • The win over UTA at the Redhawk Center on Feb. 8 moved Seattle U to 10-13 overall and 5-4 in WAC play.
  • The win also marked the 50th home win during Head Coach Chris Victor's era. The Redhawks are 50-12 (.806) in three+ seasons under Victor.
  • Kobe Williamson has now appeared in 133 games during his Seattle U career, matching the all-time games played leader Riley Grigsby (2019-23) who appeared in 133 games during his career. Williamson's next appearance will make him the program's all-time leader in games played.
  • On Jan. 30 at GCU, Viktor Rajkovic returned from a 10-game absence due to injury and made his 98th career appearance as a Redhawk. His appearance on Feb. 6 versus Tarleton marked his 99th appearance.
  • Already Seattle U's all-time leader in blocks, Kobe Williamson tallied two blocks versus Tarleton State on Feb. 6, bringing his career total to 157 and counting.
  • Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe remains at 10 double-doubles on the season, which matches the most collected in a season by a Redhawk since Myles Carter collected 10 during the 2018-19 season.
  • Seattle U's Jan. 11 win over Abilene Christian marks the lone victory this season where the Redhawks trailed at halftime. The Wildcats led 40-38 in that match-up at Climate Pledge Arena. Seattle U won, 66-64, and is now 1-10 in games trailing at the half.

ABOUT THE SERIES VS ABILENE CHRISTIAN

  • This marks just the seventh all-time meeting between Seattle U and Abilene Christian with the series tied, 3-3.
  • Seattle U won this season's first meeting on a game-winning bucket by Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe. The graduate forward converted the go-ahead layup with four seconds to go and ACU's potential game-tying runner rimmed out.
  • Moncrieffe finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds in the Redhawk win. John Christofilis and Paris Dawson had 12 points apiece.
  • The teams split the home-and-home series in 2023-24. Seattle U won the season's first meeting, 75-52, in Seattle on Feb. 8. In the game, the Redhawks hauled in a season-high 51 rebounds, the highest total since pulling down 51 on Nov. 27, 2021 versus St. Thomas.
  • The Wildcats held home court advantage on Mar. 7, 2024 with a 64-59 win despite the Redhawks leading by nine at the half.
  • The Redhawks won the first ever meeting in 2021-22, earning a 72-62 win on Jan. 20 in Abilene, Texas. Cameron Tyson led four Redhawks in scoring with 20 points.
