Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe leads the team after 19 contests, averaging 10.2 points a game shooting 53.4 percent from the floor off 3.7 makes a game. She's the WAC's lone freshman that ranks in the top-20 in the league in scoring this season. Edokpaigbe also ranks fifth in the league in free throw percentage, hitting 48 makes from the stripe this season. The freshman also lands in the top-15 in steals, grabbing 1.6 a game for the Redhawks.

Redshirt junior Tamia Stricklin ranks amongst the top in the WAC in rebounding while pacing the team in made triples this year. Through 18 games this season, she's brought in 5.1 rebounds a game and has hit 23 triples. She's shooting 32.4 percent from behind the arc, averaging 9.1 points a game for the Redhawks.

Aiding the team in scoring and rebounding is graduate Christeina Bryan. Bryan paces the Redhawks with 5.7 rebounds a game, which ranks her 14th in the WAC after 19 games. She's posting 8.6 points a game shooting 44.8 percent from the field. Last week, Bryan was one of three Redhawks to record a double-double this season, scoring 12 points and collecting a new career high 13 rebounds against UT Arlington.

Redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore, in three games back since December, has moved to rank 15th in the WAC in made threes per game. She's shooting 39.5 percent from behind the arc, totaling 17 makes in 13 games. Moore adds 8.3 points a game shooting 45.9 percent from the floor. Seattle U has scored the fifth most triples in the WAC this season, averaging 6.6 a game behind the efforts of Moore and Stricklin. Also contributing from three point land are graduate Taisiya Kozlova and freshman Sydnie Rodriguez. Both have hit 20 threes on the season.

The Redhawks and the Lopes meet for the 23rd time since 2006. Seattle U trails the all-time series 6-16 against Grand Canyon. The Lopes have taken the last nine meetings after the Redhawks collected the 15 point decision over GCU in Phoenix in 2019. Seattle U is 4-6 at home all-time against the Lopes. Grand Canyon holds a 17-game winning streak coming into Thursday morning's game and remains the WAC's lone team that has gone undefeated in conference contests. The Redhawks are in hot pursuit of their first win in league play and second win at home this season.
