EUGENE, Ore. – In the first match of the spring season, the Seattle University Redhawks fell 7-0 to the Oregon Ducks on the road. Lamija Avdic had a particularly close singles match: Avdic would reach a tie-breaker, only to fall 9-11 in that final set.
In doubles play, the duo of Avdic and Lola Tavcar played a close first set, leading 6-5. Unfortunately, that match went unfinished as the Redhawks dropped the point to the Ducks after losing the other two matches, 3-6 and 4-6.

The Redhawks are right back in action tomorrow as they take on Long Beach State at 12:00 pm PT in Eugene. After that, Seattle University heads to Idaho to take on the Idaho Vandals on February 15.
