SEATTLE - Seattle U baseball revealed their 2025 season schedule on Tuesday, as announced by head coach Donny Harrel. The new slate features 26 home games, a 28-game Western Athletic Conference (WAC) schedule, and key non conference match ups.

"Really excited about this year's schedule and the challenges it presents early in the season," said coach Harrel.

The Redhawks will open the new season with a 3-game series with Loyola Marymount starting Friday, Feb. 14, in Los Angeles. They will fly back to Seattle for the home-opener on Feb. 18, when they welcome British Columbia to Bannerwood Park. It will then be a return trip to the Golden State for the 2025 Tony Gwynn Legacy in San Diego where they will have 1-game meetings with San Diego State, UC Santa Barbara, Utah, and Long Beach State.

"The opener at LMU matches us up with former Redhawk coach Donegal Fergus and he is building a stronger club each season," Harrel added of a familiar face in the season opener. "The Tony Gwynn Legacy allowed us to play quality teams, which includes national powerhouse UCSB."

We see the first home stand of the season between February 25 and March 2, when future West Coast Conference (WCC) opponents Portland and Pacific make the trip north. The Redhawks will see the Pilots for a single midweek game while the Tigers will stay for a 3-game weekend series.

Seattle U will also host, in collaboration with Baseball Beyond Boarders, the first HBCU Seattle Series when Coppin State comes in from Baltimore for three games on March 14-16. The series aims to highlight historically black colleges with future match ups in the Emerald City.

The Redhawks will have 10 non-conference games vs in state opponents between Saint Martin's, Washington, Washington State, and Gonzaga. A 4-game road trip to the Palouse will see the first match up with Gonzaga on March 5, before ending the week with three games vs the Cougars in Pullman. Saint Martin's will come to Bannerwood on March 11, followed by the Bulldogs making a return trip to Seattle a week later. There will be three all Seattle meetings with SU visiting Washington on April 8 and 15, before a home meeting with the Huskies on April 25. The Cougars will conclude the Evergreen State battles with a visit on May 6.

The final season of WAC play kicks off on March 21 with a 3-game series vs Utah Valley at home. The first conference road series will come a week later vs Grand Canyon in Phoenix. The last home stand of the season will come on May 9 as the Lancers of California Baptist pay a visit. UT Arlington will host the final regular season games of the year starting May 15.

"Our conference will once again be tough with the warmer weather schools having the advantage early on," Harrel added. "We look forward to competing and finding our way back to the WAC tourney in our last year of being in the conference."

The 2025 WAC baseball tournament will once again take place at Hohokam Stadium in Mesa, AZ this season. The tournament will take place between May 20-24.
