COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The first ever meeting between Seattle U women's basketball and Air Force went to the Falcons (9-1) as the Redhawks (2-7) fell 82-44 at Clune Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Ten Redhawks found their way into the scoring column on the day. Graduate Christeina Bryan paced the Redhawks with 12 points and eight rebounds, shooting 6-of-9 from the floor. Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe added eight points and five rebounds. The freshman guard picked up two steals and hit 40 percent from the floor on the day.

Redshirt sophomore Sheridan Liggett dished out three assists to lead the team, while hitting perfect from three. She and redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore combined for eight points. Moore shot 50 percent and added two steals. Freshman Sydnie Rodriguez picked up a triple and three rebounds, while also logging two steals on the afternoon.

As a unit, the Redhawks shot 42.6 percent from the floor and picked up 30 rebounds, 12 assists and nine steals. They generated 30 points in the paint to Air Force's 28, holding the Falcons to 41.2 percent shooting from the field.

Through the opening half of the first quarter, the Redhawks kept pace with the Falcons before Air Force settled into a rhythm. Seattle U's typical three point shooting got off to a slow start, becoming disrupted by the Falcons persistence in forcing turnovers. The Falcons got to the line often through the game, taking 23 attempts to Seattle U's seven.

The Falcons held the 43-24 lead going into half and came out working hard from the perimeter and grabbing up rebounds. Seattle U adjusted in the final ten minutes, holding the Falcons 21.3 percent shooting from the floor and 25 percent shooting from deep.

Seattle U concludes its two week road trip and returns to the Redhawk Center for a meeting with Weber State on Saturday, December 14.
