SEATTLE - Seattle U women's basketball (2-6) pursues its first road win of the season as it faces Air Force (8-1) for the first time in program history on Saturday, December 7 at noon PT at Clune Arena. The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network.
 
Three Redhawks rank in the top-20 in the WAC in scoring, locking down the 15-17 slots. They are one of three teams to have multiple players averaging in the double-digits through the start of the season. 
 
Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe remains the Redhawks' scoring leader through eight contests this season. She's averaged 10.3 points. 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 54.7 percent from the floor. Through all eight appearances, she's gotten to the line the most of any Seattle U player, attempting 4.3 free throws a game. 
 
Reigning WAC Newcomer of the Week, graduate Taisiya Kozlova, has posted 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in six appearances, making her return to the rotation over Thanksgiving. She leads the team with 13 triples on the year, averaging 2.2 makes a game off shooting 31 percent from behind the arc, which ranks her fourth in the WAC.
 
Senior Sophie Benharouga is the third Redhawk averaging in double-digit scoring. Since her Seattle U debut against Evergreen State, Benharouga has logged 10.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. She has shot 48.7 percent from the field and has led the scoring effort twice, most recently against Arizona where she hit 5-of-9 shots from the floor for 10 points.
 
Graduate Christeina Bryan adds 8.4 points and a team leading 4.8 rebounds per game working down low for the Redhawks. Redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore leads the Redhawks from behind the arc in tandem with Kozlova, hitting 35.7 percent from beyond the arc in eight games. She's averaging 8.8 points and 2.6 assists per game.
 
The Redhawks play their fourth game away from the Redhawk Center as they embark on their first ever contest against the Falcons. After a heavy hitting weekend that saw three games in four days, Seattle U had some time away before jetting off to Colorado. 
 
Air Force is off to one of its best starts in program history. The Falcons have won their last five contests, most recently defeating Seattle U's conference mate Utah Valley at Clune Arena. They improved to 5-0 at home.
 
Collectively, the Falcons are averaging 69.2 points per game, holding their opponents to 57.1 points per game. They are shooting 42.2 percent from the field, allowing their opponents to shoot 40.7 percent from the floor. Seattle U remains one of the most efficient shooting teams in the WAC, hitting 41.6 percent from the field and seven triples a game this season.
 
Following Saturday's contest, the Redhawks have the week off before they host Weber State at the Redhawk Center on December 14 at 1 p.m. PT.
