SEATTLE - Making its final non-conference road appearance, the Seattle U women's basketball (2-10) team travels to CSU Bakersfield (0-11) ahead of the new year for a 2 p.m. afternoon game at the Icardo Center on December 29. The game airs live on ESPN+.
 
Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe paces the team with 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game, shooting 54.7 percent from the field for an average of 3.9 made field goals a game. The freshman guard ranks 15th in the WAC in scoring this season.
 
Graduate Christeina Bryan adds 8.9 points and ranks 16th in the WAC with 5.2 rebounds a game, shooting 50 percent from the floor. 
 
Redshirt sophomore Sheridan Liggett ranks 9th in the WAC in assists, dishing out three per game in 12 appearances. She adds 5.8 points a game off 30.4 percent shooting.
 
Graduate Taisiya Kozlova leads the team with 14 triples on the year, averaging 1.4 makes a game to rank 11th in the WAC in 10 appearances. She posts 6.7 points per game. Redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore aids the Seattle U threat from behind the arc, knocking down 12 threes in 12 appearances, shooting at a 36.4 percent clip.

The Redhawks rank fifth in the WAC in field goal percentage this season, while sitting sixth in steals, averaging nine a game. Their 5.75 made threes a game ranks sixth in the league this season.
 
Sunday's contest is the 27th meeting in the all-time series, with the Redhawks trailing 10-16 dating back to 2003. In the last five games, the Redhawks went 3-2, most recently defeating the Roadrunners in Seattle in 2020. They last downed CSU Bakersfield on the road by ten in 2019.
 
Following the game, the Redhawks prepare for their conference home opener on January 4th, as they welcome California Baptist to the Redhawk Center at 1 p.m.
