SEATTLE - With two games left in the nonconference schedule, Seattle U women's basketball (2-9) heads south to California for a Friday afternoon game against Cal Poly (4-6, 1-1 Big West) at Mott Athletics Center at 2 p.m. PT.

Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe leads the team in scoring, averaging 10.5 points a game, shooting 53.2 percent from the floor, ranking her 16th in the conference this year. She adds 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals a game, while making the most appearances at the free throw line of any Redhawk, averaging 2.6 made free throws a game.

Aiding from the paint is graduate Christeina Bryan. The forward is posting 9.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals a game. Bryan was Seattle U's leading scorer against Kennesaw State, extending her double-digit scoring streak to three games after a 10 point effort on Monday night. She is shooting 52.5 percent on the season, averaging 3.8 made field goals a game.

Graduate Taisiya Kozlova leads the Redhawks from three, posting 14 triples on the season in nine games to rank seventh in the WAC. She is averaging 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds a game. Redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore leads in three point percentage, hitting 36.4 percent on the year from behind the arc. Moore dishes out 2.5 assists, which ranks 13th in the WAC, while scoring 8.5 points a game in ten appearances.

Redshirt sophomore Sheridan Liggett leads the team averaging 3.1 assists a game, which ranks her eighth in the WAC. She adds 5.8 points a game.

Seattle U retains its position as the third most efficient shooting team in the WAC heading into the final weeks of 2024. The Redhawks hit at a 40 percent clip through 11 games, one of three teams that are shooting 40 percent or better from the field in the conference. They rank fourth in the league in three point percentage, hitting 67 triples on the season so far, the fifth most in the WAC this season.

The Redhawks and Mustangs meet for just the seventh time in program history after the series began in 1988. The Redhawks took the opening contest in Seattle, but trail in the all-time series 4-2. There have been two meetings in San Luis Obispo since 2009 and Seattle U has gone 1-1 in that time span. The Redhawks last defeated the Mustangs in San Luis Obispo in 2019.

Following Friday afternoon's game, the Redhawks have the week off before heading back out on the road. They'll travel back to California for a Sunday afternoon game against CSU Bakersfield on December 29 at 2 pm.
