SEATTLE - Seattle U women's basketball gets into the holiday spirit, playing its final home contest of 2024 against Kennesaw State on Monday night at the Redhawk Center. Ornaments are available for the first 250 fans through the door and the team will stick around post-game for autographs and a meet and greet.

SEATTLE - Seattle U women's basketball gets into the holiday spirit, playing its final home contest of 2024 against Kennesaw State on Monday night at the Redhawk Center. Ornaments are available for the first 250 fans through the door and the team will stick around post-game for autographs and a meet and greet.
 
Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe leads the team in scoring and comes off a new career high 20 point performance on Saturday. She posts 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals a game while shooting 53.3 percent from the floor. The freshman guard also leads the team with 2.7 offensive rebounds a game.
 
Leading from the perimeter are graduate Taisiya Kozlova and redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore. Kozlova has 14 makes from behind the arc this season, while Moore follows suit with 12 triples shooting 36.4 percent from three. Moore is recording 8.5 points and 2.5 assists per game, while shooting 45.6 percent from the floor to Kozlova's 8.1 points and 4.4 rebounds.
 
Graduate Christeina Bryan posted a 15 point effort against Weber State on Saturday, one of three double-digit scorers on the day. She's averaging 9.4 points and a team leading 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game through ten contests. The graduate forward is hitting 51.4 percent from the floor. 
 
Seattle U ranks third in the WAC in field goal percentage, hitting 40.8 percent from the floor in 10 games. They hover at fifth in the league in makes from behind the arc, hitting 6.5 triples a game.
 
The Redhawks got to the line frequently against the Wildcats, hitting their combined third best free throw percentage of the season for a new season high 19 makes from the charity stripe to build up their free throw percentage. They picked up their fourth double-digit steal effort of the season, corralling 14 steals to improve to 9.6 steals a game as a unit on the year. 
 
Monday's contest is the first in program history between Kennesaw State and Seattle U. The Owls are Conference USA's newest member and conclude a five road-game stretch against the Redhawks on Monday night. Kennesaw State has gone 1-3 over its last four games, most recently falling to Florida Atlantic on Friday night. The cross-country trek to the Redhawk Center will be the Owls' second west coast trip of the year.
 
Following Monday night's game, the Redhawks conclude their non-conference slate in California, traveling to visit both Cal Poly and CSU Bakersfield before the turn of the new year. They kick off their conference schedule at home against California Baptist on January 4.
