SEATTLE - Returning home for the first time in two weeks, the Seattle U women's basketball plays host to Weber State on December 14 at 1 p.m. PT at the Redhawk Center. Live stream is available through ESPN+.
 
The Redhawks return to their home floor after splitting time between Arizona and Colorado over the last two weeks, going 1-3 in that time span. 
 
Freshman Candy Edokpaigbe leads all scorers, averaging 10.0 points while shooting 52.4 percent from the floor in nine appearances. She averages 3.7 makes a game, while pulling in 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. Her 2.3 offensive rebounds per game ranks fifth in the WAC, while her 10.0 PPG ranks her in the top-20 in the conference in scoring. 
 
Graduate Taisiya Kozlova adds 9.3 points as the team's leading three point specialist, hitting 31.1 percent from deep off two makes a game. She's totaled 14 triples while averaging 4.0 rebounds a game in seven appearances. Her 2.0 threes a game ranks her fifth in the conference.
 
Fellow graduate Chriteina Bryan posts a team leading 5.1 rebounds a game, which ranks 15th in the WAC, while recording 8.8 points and 1.4 steals per game. She's hitting 48.5 percent from the floor with 3.6 field goals made a game. 
 
Redshirt Sheridan Liggett ranks eighth in the conference so far this season in assists, averaging 3.2 a game, while also taking eighth in the league in assist/turnover ratio (.97). Fellow redshirt sophomore Olivia Moore posts 8.3 points while hitting 34.5 percent from behind the arc, registering 1.1 triples a game. She follows Liggett with 2.4 assists per game.
 
As a unit, the Redhawks are one of the most efficient shooting teams in the WAC, ranking third in the conference in both field goal and three point percentage. In nine games, Seattle U is registering 41.7 percent shooting from the floor. 
 
Seattle U and Weber State meet for the second time in program history, the two last meeting in 2022. The Wildcats took the first contest, defeating the Redhawks 64-51 on their home floor at Dee Events Center. Saturday's contest is the first meeting in Seattle.
 
The Wildcats are ninth in the current Big Sky rankings and hold a 1-4 record on the road this season. They shoot 40 percent from the floor, allowing their opponents to hit nearly similar. Seattle U posts 9.1 steals per game to Weber State's 7.4. Both produce greater turnovers than their opponents and fewer rebounds than their opponents. Controlling the glass and forcing turnovers remain a key component for both programs as the Redhawks seek their second win at home this season.
 
Seattle U remains at home through the long weekend, returning to the Redhawk Center on Monday, December 16 for a 6 p.m. tilt with Kennesaw State.
