SEATTLE – Following a week-long break for Fall Quarter finals, Seattle University men's basketball returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 14, hosting Pacific University (Ore.) in a 5 p.m. tip off at the Redhawk Center. The game will air live on ESPN+.

- The Redhawks are coming off an 88-72 loss to UTEp in El Paso, Texas, on Dec. 7.
- A slow start hampered the Redhawks as they fell behind 48-23 at the half before outscoring the Miners, 49-40, in the second half.
- Paris Dawson led the Redhawks with 18 points, including four threes. Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe added 14 points and eight rebounds, John Christofilis had 13 points and Maleek Arington added six points and seven assists.
- Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe was named WAC Newcomer of the Week on Dec. 9 after averaging 14.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in Seattle U's last two games. His efforts included the season's fifth double double on Dec. 4 against Portland State.
- Paris Dawson is averaging 18.5 ppg over the Redhawks last two outings, raising his season average to 11.7 ppg. That mark is more than double his 5.1 ppg average from 2023-24. His shooting percentages are also all career-highs as the senior guard is hitting at a 43.3% FG clip, 41% from three and 88.6% from the FT line.
ABOUT THE SERIES VS PACIFIC
- The Redhawks and Boxers have eight previous meetings dating back to 1949.
- The teams have met just once in Seattle U's moder DI era, with the Redhawks winning 115-85.
- The all-time series is tied 4-4, though the most recent meeting in 2019 was considered an exhibition for Pacific so does not formally count on their record.
- The two teams met three times during the 1997-98 and 1998-99 seasons, both as members of the Northwest Conference of Independent Colleges.

- In games played through Dec. 11, Seattle U ranks No. 130 in the NET rankings.
- The Redhawks' record thus far includes a 1-1 mark against Quad 1 opponents, including a road win at 70th-ranked UC San Diego and a road loss at 4th-ranked Duke.
- Seattle U debuted at No. 105 in the first NET ranking of the season, released Monday, Dec. 1.
- The Redhawks strength of schedule has made a strong impact on the ranking. They currently rank No. 39 in NET strength of schedule.
