SEATTLE – Seattle University women's rowing kicked off the 2024-25 season at the Tail of the Lake Regatta, held at Lake Union and hosted by Holy Names Academy. The Redhawks participated in three races, showcasing their Varsity 8+, First Varsity 4+, and Second Varsity 4+ crews against crews from University of Washington and University of Portland.
The Redhawks' Varsity 8+ crew clocked a time of 17:05.0, while the First V4+lead by Ava Himmrich came in at 17:20.7, and the Second V4+ lead by Izzy Teal finished with a time of 18:07.8.
This impressive performance signals the start of an exciting season for Seattle U rowing as they aim to build momentum in the coming weeks. Next up on the fall slate is the Head of the Lake, hosted by UW on Nov. 3.
