Nicholas Andrews Named Director of Basketball Operations

SEATTLE –  Following four total years on staff as a Student Manager and Head Undergraduate Manager, Nicholas Andrews has been officially added to the Seattle University men's basketball staff as Director of Basketball Operations, Head Coach Chris Victor announced Tuesday.

"I am extremely excited to announce Nicholas as our Director of Basketball Operations," Victor said. "A former head manager with our program during his time as an undergrad, Nicholas' commitment, dedication and growth has prepared him for this position. He will be a star in this role and has a bright future ahead of him." 

A 2024 graduate from Seattle U's Albers School of Business with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Andrews has assisted a wide variety of areas within the Redhawk program during his four years.

In the latter two years as Head Manager, Andrews collaborated with Graduate Assistants and the Director of Operations to hire and oversee the team of student managers. His expanded role also included keeping stats and supporting the staff with utilization of Sportscode and Synergy.

Andrews also regularly assisted the Director of Operations with other duties, provided essential support to players and coaches during games and practices and assisted with pre-practice and post-practice set=up and breakdown.

The 2024-25 season gets underway Wednesday, Nov. 6 as the Redhawks travel to face Eastern Washington in a 6 p.m. tip-off at Reese Court in Cheney, Wash. Seattle U's home opener is set for Saturday, Nov. 9 against Liberty. Tip-off from the Redhawk Center is scheduled for 5 p.m.
