SEATTLE - Seattle U women's soccer remained unbeaten in Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play when they knocked off Tarleton State, 1-0, Saturday afternoon at Championship Field. Kailee Wilson was the hero on the day when she netted the lone goal of the match in the 85th minute.
It was a defensive battle for the entirety of the match, with Seattle U recording 25 shots that Tarleton was able to turn away every time. On the other end, the Redhawk back line limited the Texans to just three shots the entire match, with Kassidy Kirgan being called on to make two saves on her way to another shutout.
Wilson broke the stalemate in the 85th minute off a rebound of her own shot. Zoe Hopkins initially sent a ball in that Wilson got on the end of, but was saved by the Texan's keeper, Wilson remained in position to clean the play up and give the Redhawks the eventual game-winner.
It was the second goal in as many games for Wilson, and the 5th goal of her two-year Redhawk career.

Seattle U will be back in action next Thursday, Oct. 17, when they play host to another top team in the conference, Grand Canyon. Kickoff between the Redhawks and Lopes is scheduled for 7pm PT.
