SEATTLE - It's a road trip this week for the Seattle University Redhawks, who head to Portland for 54 holes. The Redhawks will take part in the Portland State Invitational at the Columbia Edgewater Golf Club on October 14 and 15. Both days will see play begin at 8:30 am.

This will be the third straight competition that both Seattle University and Portland State have taken part in, after the Harbottle Invitational and Eagle Invitational. The Redhawks finished second and third, respectively, in those two tournaments.
Seattle University will be one of ten teams at the invitational. Along with host Portland State, the Redhawks will be joined by Eastern Washington, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Weber State, Utah Valley, and Southern Utah.
Last time out, the Redhawks finished second in the Harbottle Invitational. Rivekka Jumagulova won the tournament with a score of -13 across 54 holes. That was a new program record for lowest score to par on 54 holes, breaking the previous record of -12, also set by Jumagulova at last season's Bobcat Desert Classic. The Redhawks as a team finished at -9, a program record as well, also besting last year's Bobcat Desert Classic showing, where Seattle University finished at -8.
The Portland State Invitational will be Seattle University's first time competing in Oregon since 2019. That year, the Redhawks took part in the Rose City Collegiate, finishing third among 12 teams. In Seattle University's last road trip out of Washington, the Redhawks finished third at this season's Eagle Invitational in Worley, Idaho.
